How to Take Your Photos for an Accurate Assessment
To give us the clearest view, please follow these simple instructions. Good lighting is key! Stand near a window or in a well-lit room. Ask a friend to help if you can, as it makes getting the right angles much easier.
1. Front View (Smiling)
- What we see: This view shows us the general alignment of your front teeth, your overall smile line, and any visible crowding or spacing.
- How to take it:
- Look straight into the camera.
- Give us your most natural, big smile.
- Ensure your face from your chin to your nose is in the frame.
2. Side View Left / Profile (Smiling)
- What we see: This helps us understand your facial profile and how your teeth and jaws relate to it.
- How to take it:
- Turn your head to the left side (your left ear facing the camera).
- Smile naturally.
- Capture the side of your face, showing your jawline clearly.
3. Side View Right / Profile (Smiling)
- What we see: This helps us understand your facial profile and how your teeth and jaws relate to it.
- How to take it:
- Turn your head to the Right side (your right ear facing the camera).
- Smile naturally.
- Capture the side of your face, showing your jawline clearly.
4. Upper Teeth View
- What we see: This “bird’s-eye view” of your upper teeth shows us the shape of your arch, crowding, spacing, and any rotations of individual teeth.
- How to take it:
- Open your mouth as wide as you can.
- Tilt your head back.
- Point the camera up towards the roof of your mouth to capture the biting surfaces of all your top teeth.
5. Lower Teeth View
- What we see: Similar to the upper view, this shows us the alignment, shape, and condition of your lower arch.
- How to take it:
- Open your mouth wide.
- Tilt your chin down towards your chest.
- Point the camera down to capture the biting surfaces of all your bottom teeth.
